Gögele’s best finish on the DP World Tour was a runner-up place in the 1996 German Open behind fellow Legend Ian Woosnam. Gögele recorded nine top 10s on the European Tour, a win at the 1995 Open des Volcans on the Challenge Tour and is a two-time German Professional Champion and two-time German Golf Instructor Champion.

Gögele currently runs his own coaching school: Gögele Golf School in Bavaria, Germany and is currently Assistant Coach to the Germany Golf National Team. Gögele learned the game, like Bernhard Langer, at Augsburg Golf Club, about 80km west of Munich from the age of five and turned pro aged 15. He went to the European Tour Qualifying School no fewer than nine times and was rewarded for his persistence, gaining his card in 1992 and 1995 to play on the tour. Gögele finished 81st in Volvo Order of Merit in 2000, ending in style by recording six consecutive birdies in the third round of his final tournament, the Italian Open.
