The Spaniard won three times on the DP World Tour from 1992 to 1999 and made it onto the 1997 European Ryder Cup Team but was forced to withdraw due to a wrist injury – he was replaced in the team by José Maria Olazabal.
In 2005 he became the first player from Continental Europe to join the “500 Club” on the DP World Tour for making 500 tournament appearances.
He was a member of the Tour for more than twenty seasons and was also part of the Spain squad which won the Alfred Dunhill Cup in 2000.

In 2025, Miguel Ángel Martín competed in several Legends Tour events, including the Swiss Seniors Open, where he finished 30th, and the Black Desert NI Legends, where he achieved a strong 18th-place finish, highlighting his continued competitiveness on the senior circuit.
